Default What 'fun' car did you drive before you got your subaru

i had a 00' si, jrsc. great car, but i will never do FWD ever again, definite pros and cons over the subaru, but the subaru is an all around better car.

An 89 Honda Accord LXi. wa. hoo.

Subaru was the first fun car...but I did have my fun motorcycle before I got the WRX. just a 92 Yamaha Seca II but I did track days and lots of looong rides through western mass, new hampshire, vermont, new york, etc. Good times.

'95 Impreza L was my first car. Had more fun in that than any other car. I took it off tons of sweet jumps.

I got my dad's 1997 Suzuki Sidekick Sport when I got my license. It was fun during winter time when I used 4wd mode to get to places, then put it back into 2wd mode (yay for transfer case and front manual lock hubs) to slide around as if I had teh Initial D skills.

Despite its lack of power, the drivetrain is solid and put up with lots of abuse and is still working pretty well. Right now, it's got some decomposing leaves stuck in the air vents so it smells like something died in it.

well i learned to drive in a 1977 mercedes benz 450SL (convertable w/2 tops, V8 engine) which is still in the garage today and has seen better days. but it was fun driving it to high school. it looks similar to this

then it was a bronco II which i had to share with my sister (so she basically had it all the time cause she was older and had more responsibilities)

then it was a toyota tacoma which was a fun little truck but always needed the sand bags suring the winter.

then the justy...(which has been sold outside of the subie community unfortunitly)

and now my WRX....

So many VW's I can not even count. My favorite was a 83 rabbit 16v with all kinds of BS done to it. Im gonna build another one next year. Nothing as fun as a 200 hp car at under 2000 pounds.

2000 GMC CrewCab 4WD with 6.5 foot box. Now it serves admirably as my tow vehicle. My wife uses it for her company. Nearly 35,000 miles on it now.
Big difference going to my '02 WRX wagon.

'95 Accord w/ JDM H22 5sp swap. The H22 was fun once in VTEC land, but awd and the broad power band of the WRX is alot more fun.
