Default Synapse Synchronic BOV...

Is that really compressor surge he speaks of int eh beginning? I don't get all of his reasoning for this.....

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...95499942132309

EDIT: At high boost, I just don't see the valve being efficient.

It's a pull-type BOV, and it doesn't use a diaphram. According to the manufacturer/designer, the piston opens according to the boost pressure, i.e. low boost opens it a little, high boost opens it a lot.

Also, if the Google video is of the S2K, I was able to find out they were only running 6psi.

It'd be interesting to see how well it holds boost at say... 30+ lbs.

Based on the design of the unit, it should seal tighter with more boost.

The vacuum/pressure reference line was disconnected from the BOV which prevented the piston from opening.
