Default FS: 30" Samsung HDTV, widescreen

SALE PENDING TO Golfa

$300

Hey guys,
just upgraded to a larger TV so this one is up for sale. It's a Samsung 30" HDTV, DyneFlat tube, widescreen format, model TXM-3096WHF. It does 1080i, 480p, 480i. I used it with Charter's HDTV package and the picture quality is amazing. It has several component, composite and 1 S-video inputs. The truth is that tubes still have the best picture quality out of all the TVs out there. The issue is the size. So, this TV is in perfect condition. I have a remote to go with it. Since it is pretty heavy, I will only do pickup or I can meet or deliver it within reasonable distance. Please let me know if you have questions. I am open to reasonable offers as well.

The official measurements listed for this TV are:

Width: 35"
Height: 22"
Depth: 22.75"

IIRC, this model also comes with a built in 'line doubler' so that traditional broadcasts and DVD's are shown minus all those goofy horizontal lines across the screen ?

Yes, it does have the line doubler but it doesn't work as you think. You will still get the horizontal lines if you're watching regular broadcast that was recorded in widescreen format. Not much you can do about that. The line doubling improves the actual quality of normal feeds.
When you have true HD signal, you will have no goofy horizontal lines. 1080i looks amazing. The so called 'goodlooking' people all over sudden don't look so good

Good price on yours too. I paid $900 for mine a year and a half ago.

480i, 480p, and 1080i? What happened to 720p? I guess it up converts 720p to 1080i (or if you have a cable box it could do it for you). I just sold my old 30" Sanyo flat tube HDTV for $300 to a friend. If it doesn't sell I may be interested for someone else.
