Default auto to manual wiring

Hi. I've been looking around for info on auto to manual conversions and I've read that the wiring can be a pain. I didn't evan think there was wiring to do besides removal. The auto trans. needs a computer to know when to shift based on throttle pos. and speed, while a stick is all mechanical and driver controlled. Apparently I'm wrong, so my question is; What wiring is needed? It's purpose? Does anyone know of any good threads that discuss this because I can't find any on the wiring portion of the swap.

That's the main pt. of this thread but tell me if my list is complete for parts I will need for the swap; transmission/drive-shaft/ rear-diff/ linkages/ slave & mast. cyl./ hydrolic lines/ clutch & brake pedal assemblys. I think that is everything but tell me if I've missing something. Thanks for the help.

Don't forget clutch/pressure plate/flywheel, shifter, are trans. crossmembers and mounts the same? You'll need to do wiring for the reverse lights and probably some other stuff like the clutch switch.
