My car came with STi brembos on DBA rotors w/ some kind of upgraded pad in the rear and I want to change to the stock Subaru 4 pot front 2 pot rear setup.
I will trade the rear STi brakes, pads and rotors for the full stock WRX setup including rotors. The car has an R180 in the back so I need the rears to work with this setup. I just got back in to the Subaru world and don't have an internet connection yet so I don't know what's necessary to make the WRX brakes work on my car or even what the STi rear brakes are worth. I apologize for the lack of research but my time on this connection is limited and I wanted to put this up. I may just sell the rear brakes if you send me a good offer, but I'm more likely to trade for brakes since my car will be undriveable without the rears. Please PM or send email to paulfeghali@gmail.com with offers or possible trades and I'll get back to you ASAP (I can check gmail on my phone, so it's a little quicker that way). Thanks, Paul

Sorry that post wasn't very clear, I was in a rush as I typed it up yesterday.
Yes, I want 06+ WRX brakes (or the older Subaru 4pot/2pot setup). Where it gets a little complicated is that since I'm running an R180 rear end, the rear brakes need whatever is necessary to make them work on my setup. I believe I just need different brake rotors and mounting brackets to make it work...does anybody know? Since not everybody has the parts needed to make the rear work I suppose the asking price for my brake setup is the Subaru 4pot brakes plus whatever cash I need for the new rotors & brackets. If you have the full setup necessary to work on my car then I'll just do a straight trade for it all. If I'm way off with my prices I will then modify the offer so it's fair. I'm not buying new brakes first and then selling this setup because I'm a little too broke for that right now. If I sell my rears and wait around to find stuff my car will probably be out of comission for longer than I can afford. A trade seems like the best way to work around my financial situation and minimize my battle wagon's down time. |

to make R180 work with OEM Brembos, you need the R180, Axles, Hubs and the entire brake assembly. what year are these off of? if 04' contact me and I can buy they straight up if you like, or i can give you my oem wrx brakes+ cash for your setup that way you won't be without a car. The brakes I have Endless Vita Nueva pads with at least 80% left. i also emailed you from matson. let me know

The front 4 pots will bolt right up; however, the rear 2 pots should also bolt up because you have the R180. You should have the smaller bracket that is the same on the Brembos and 2 pots from what I understand. The problem might be that you cannot get a rear brake rotor that will work for your different hand brake assembly. Why do you want to downgrade your brakes? So you can run 16" and 15" wheels?

okay, well let me know about a trade + cash, It would get you by for a while at least, and the Endless stop great. i think withe the Subaru 2 pots you need at least a 16" wheel though

That is a great reason to downgrade. |
