Default OEM Carbon Fiber Head and Fog Covers

This is a quick review of the OEM CF head and foglight covers
for the 2002 WRX. I believe these were made in Australia and
I ordered them through McDade (Jay). He was very easy to
deal with, had answers to all my questions and sold these
for a fair price ($135 shipped).

After the GB ended, it took about 3-4 weeks to get these, due
to customs delays. However, it was worth the wait.

The reason I bought these was that I didn't want to paint the
interior of the headlight (felt like I could *really* mess that up),
and this offered an alternative. Plus, they should help protect
my heads and fogs (even though I wish I had these earlier,
as my lights are already good and scratched).

The install was fairly simple. They came with instructions, and
the fogs just snap on. The headlight covers were more of a pain,
as they have a clip that you have to "install" that helps secure
the cover. Also, I had problems getting the hood closed at first,
and had to bend/pry the clip until everything worked out. However,
I've been highway driving and ran over a few speed bumps since
then, and these haven't fallen off. They seem pretty tight with
the hood closed, but I may buy some tape to help secure them
a little more.

All in all, it was a good buy. They seem like they are well
made and could handle a couple of rocks/sand blasts.

However, if you're getting aftermarket lights (the WRC versions,
JDM's/Morettes, etc), DON'T BUY THESE! (They don't fit). Also, I
still want to take out the orange blinker piece, and I'll just have
to take these off again if I do. Sigh - the pleasure and pains of my
first few mods...

I've got more pictures and instructions at the following link:

Here is a quick picture...
