Thumbs up installed... brullen dual tip cat-back

just picked up my car... and this exhaust sounds really sweet....
nice deep sound.. close if not deeper then a vr6
cant tell of true hp gains, but the car is much more responsive. also the sound is not overbearing on the highway.
thanks gtbguy

What sound did you get, loud, medium or quiet? I LOVE the VR6 sound! I am contemplating this or the stromung. Did you get the 3in or 2.5 piping. I haven't decided but I love dual tips. Did it work with the diffy protector? Thanks

ace2777 - Glad to see you got the system installed Adam! I'm also pleased to hear you love the sound. The tonal frequency of yours is actually deeper than a VR6 w/ Remus exhaust on it.

If possible, please post in the "Vendors" area about your experience from inquiring about the system to delivery (basically your interactions with me.)

Thumbs up

I have the same system and I love it, just about to get the headers on Thurs.

As for the rear diff protector it does work with it, I installed one and the only problem was the front drive's side bolt had to be left of or cut the corner of plate or it might rattle. I put the bolt on and it was barly touching so I left it>> No problems that I can see.

it might just be me, but my left tip hangs slightly lower than the other... other than that this system looks/sounds really good... even in soft acoustic
anyone know if i can make the muffler hang evenly?

Actually, mine has the two tips not quite parallel. The left one
points in slightly. Its the kind of thing that once you notice it,
it sticks out but anyone else would likely not see it. My guess is
that they hand assemble these things as per each order, so
what you are actually seeing some "handbuilt character".

i have the rear skirts... getting painted now,i think when they are on it will look fine... its only b/c the bumper starts to curve in at that spot, so it kind of looks uneven
.. ill take that minor imperfection, rather then cut any piping

I put mine on yesterday. I bought it from a fellow i-clubber (thanks Boostup) and he put it on for me at his shop.

It does sount sweet. I even got a few thumbs ups as I was driving to the store.

I dont know what kinds of performance gains I should expect. According to Cobb, their CAI (which I have) and stromung catback combo was dynoed to give 20hp gains. Maybe I can expect about the same??

Next up: headers.

Can I get JUST the Brullen muffler, sans mid pipe? I already have a 2.5" mid-pipe from Lachute, and the Bosal/Subaru muffler.

I thought That combo would be fine, till I noticed that the piping on the muffler section is smaller than the mid-pipe! I think its only 2"

Ion-performance.....do you sell just the muffler? How much, shipped to MTL??? Merci!

Gooseman,

The Brullen does not connect up to the stock mid-pipe location,
so it is cat-back or nothing.

Sorry,

Stu
