Default 02 with 115K miles

So my car has alot of miles on it but its still running strong. I've been trying to do less mods and more maintenance to keep it top notch.

Recently I've replaced:

Timing belt and accessory belts
O ring
water pump
tranny and diff fluid
spark plugs
brake pads
transmission (free from Subaru, long story...)

I've come across a good deal on a used td04 with about 25K. Should I pick it up and install it as preventive or just wait and she how much I can get out of the old stocker? Would it be worth my while? I want to keep the turbo stock for reliability and financially.

Is there anything else you could recommend that I keep an eye on?

I'll be doing a compression test come spring.

If there is no play in the turbo shaft than don't worry about it. Check the coil packs, clean the MAF, check for leaks around your (stock) radiator where it is stamped, run compression test, take an oil sample to Blackstone Labs, CV boots, wheel bearings, DIY vaccuum leak test, clean up battery and grounding points, clean throttle body, run some seafoam through BOV vac hose. That's some things I can think of at the moment.

What other mods do you have? I've seen stock td04s go for $75 shipped. Send it to dead bolt and have it P&P.

I'm at stage 2. If I go the P & P route, can I keep the fuel pump and injectors stock? Does p&p increase the life of my turbo? I'm debating picking up a td04 for $100...
