Default Tuning with a Street Tuner vs Getting a Protune

Looking at options for tuning, I have an 05 Sti with an AP and getting a turbo/fueling upgrade soon.

Wondering if getting a tune with a street tuner is a good alternative to going and getting a tune from a licensend Protuner? Does the protuner software have any additional features that the street tuner software can not do?

Thanks guys.

yes proTUNER has some features that streetTUNER does not... is there any that would prevent the normal "stage 2" tune from meeting it's full potential? i doubt it. if you don't plan to tune yourself, you don't really need street tuner. however, if you want to tinker with maps on the side, or enjoy logging and enjoy learning about the OEM ECU system, ST is great for that.

My car will go stage 3 with an FP Green, PE850's, APS 70mm CAI, etc etc...I was intially going to go to PDX for a protune but there is a very good tuner where I live and I was considering getting a street tuner and having him tune instead of the protune. Just wanted to see if I would be missing something byt not going the protune route...
