Default timing belt cover

Whats up guys, just had a quick question about the Timing Belt cover. I wanted to inspect it for cracks, missing teeth, ect. Besides the bolts on the front side of the cover(right side), is there thing I might need to do before removing these bolts. Any help would be greatful. Sorry for the noob question.

Well if you want to remove it completely you have to remove the crank sprocket and the belts. And the fans are probably going to be in the way.

All the timing cover bolts are 10mm.

You can take off the driver's side for a look without removing the crank pulley bolt. After you take off some accessories. Timing belts more often stretch out of spec instead of fail by breaking.

What could you learn by removing the driver side cover? Other than seeing the belt on the sprocket, You can't see any other timing marks.
