Default any experts out there?

well, i just bought my 03 wrx and got the extended warranty. i havnt the inclination to race but wanted an improved take on the new ride. I bought the subaru intake and the exhaust. The car starts at 227 bhp but I am wondering what the difference would be in horsepower with the new parts. I hope someone out there will point me in the right direction. Thanks for reading!!

The extended warranty backed by Subaru of America needs to be purchased while the car is still under the basic warranty, so unless you bought the car from a private party and paid the small fee to transfer over a SOA extended warranty, you probably have a non-SOA extended warranty.
Whichever you have, you should read the fine print carefully to see how modding will affect your coverage. If e.g. you're planning on modding the powertrain and the warranty won't cover the powertrain after you've done the mods, you might want to try to cancel the warranty for a refund.

Default thanks

i corresponded with the finance department and got the warranty before 33k miles. I also talked with the maintainence dept. Everything modded is kosher with the warranty, which is SOA. What do you think the exhaust/intake will add to the horsepower? thanks

Assuming you've got a cat-back exhaust, not much difference. Of course, if you change something to add significant hp, Subaru has been known to use that to deny powertrain coverage under warranty. Just something to be aware of.
I'd suggest checking out the Newbies & FAQS Forum to start with to get a feel for the basics, and definitely read Unabomber's Manifesto (look at the stickies in that Forum).

Subaru claims up to 18 bhp and 20 ft./lb of torque on a WRX with that set-up, i have it, and it is gives the car a GREAT sound, huge improvement over stock. The butt dyno says there are a few, and i stress, few extra ponies in there, you will love it though, it really improves it! Don't forget to reset your ecu when you install the intake and exhaust! (Unplug the negative and press teh brake pedal for about 10 seconds, install everything, reconnect, and DRIVE!)

Not nessacarily true. You can buy Subaru Classic Plan on a used vehicle. In fact, that's all you can buy. Gold Coverage is not available:

"USED PLANS:
Any eligible Subaru vehicle, previously sold at retail (imported by Subaru of America, Inc.), of the current model year or up to six (6) prior model years old qualifies for used vehicle coverage. The length of coverage available varies, depending on the model year of the vehicle and
existing mileage on the odometer, as designated on the price schedule.

January 1st is the anniversary date for determining age. The vehicle must also meet the requirements outlined in the Used Vehicle Inspection Checklist. An Added Security used plan can be purchased only on the day the customer takes delivery of the vehicle and only from the selling dealer."
