Default Wanted: Big 16G Turbo & STI TMIC or Bigger

Looking to upgrade my 03 WRX with a Big 16G. I have a lock on my injectors and now I will be looking for my turbo and intercooler. I am trying to do this as inexpensively as possible without buying some ebay garbage. If anyone has one around here let me know. I would rather do business locally than going mail-order out to the East Coast. Let me know if anyone has one or something similar that they are willing to part with.

Also, if someone is sitting on a big 16g let me know what you are looking to get for it. Thanks

Matt

how are they? I hear everybody dogs everything out except for Deadbolt. I saw that Deadbolt doesn't offer a big 16g, but I have seen people still suggest theirs over some of the other manufacturers' big 16g's. I am curious....

That's pretty impressive for a $600 turbo! Did he do the Big 16G or the EVO III GT? I am sort of leaning toward the EVO III since they are the same price.

I assume that these being direct bolt-on that I wouldn't need any additional lines and whatnot, but I see a lot of DB guys saying that the deadbolt turbos are the only ones that come with lines and banjo fittings. Do I really need to get that stuff?

I understand that Deadbolt DOES offer the big 16g. You may want to email them.

Somebody else mentioned that earlier too in another forum, but they don't have one on their website. I will see what the deal is and I will post here. Thanks

I actually went with a VF39. Got one at a price that was hard to pass up, and Turbochargers.com didn't answer my posts so I decided to go mild with the VF39. I had everything I needed except for the turbo and I am a street drive not a track guy so I thought I would try my luck with the direct bolt VF39. I was very pleased at how easy it was with the exception of the turbo mount bracket bolt that mounts to the head itself between the Uppipe and the head. I will probably do this again some time, but for now that was what I thought was best for me.
