engine gone...replace tranny now or later?

OK i'm waiting for my engine to be done @ the machine shop. And I need to swap my tranny out.

Should I swap it out now while there is no engine....or wait and put the engine in without the tranny in there.... which would be easier??

i would say wait and put engine in and then tranny.

I disagree. Replace tranny now.

Do both at the same time.

With the engine removed you're half-way there. Plus you can decide on a new engine/tranny combo if you so choose.

haha we have 2 sides....

I was thinking it might be easier to manuver the engine since its on a hoist. So I might just go ahead and swap the tranny. (since I'm using a friggin car jack to hold the tranny....anyway, and its gona suck with only 1 1/2 ft of clearance under my car)
