Default Windshield Cracking

Anyone else having any problems with their windshields cracking? Mine starting cracking today, and I rushed it over to Irvine Subaru. They were pretty cool about it. It was under warranty. No rocks or gravel, it just started cracking under the weathering strip on the driver's side. It's about a foot long now. It should be fixed soon.
I'm also under the impression, that if there are visible chips or debris "marks" in the windshield, it's assumed that the owner/driver take responsibility for the glass, instead of being under warranty. I might be on crack, so if anyone could reiterate then thanks. :]

Yes, mine was fixed under warranty. I was told as long as it's a stress crack, they will replace it for free. You can read more about my case here:

It happened to my Jetta. They have a test where they run a pencil over the crack to see if it's stress or a rock.
