Default Oil Filter Question

According to the SubaruGenuineParts.com web site, both the non-turbo and turbo Imprezas use an oil filter with a part number of 15208AA100.

Now with that in mind, I ordered a six pack of oil filters from them a couple of years ago for my 05 2.5RS, but they sent me oil filters with a part number of 15208AA060. When I contacted them about this matter, they assured me these oil filters would work just fine.

So my main question here is since I have a couple of these 15208AA060 oil filters left, does anyone know if I can use these on my 07 WRX?

15208aa060 = obsolete

they are completely sold out

but yes, you can use them on your WRX just fine if you have them

I don't think they'll clear his crossover pipe J- been out of Subaru for awhile though, so I'm not 100% sure . If they don't fit, I'm just up in NH and will straight swap you for the small ones- I use the big ones on my OBS and am running out .

Thanks everyone!

If they fit (i.e. don't touch any pipes), I'll use the two that I have left.

If they don't fit, I'll be sending North Ursalia a PM!

keep in mind you don't just want it to not hit, but you don't want it REAL close to any of the ex manifold either.
