Has anyone had any experience with the intake sold on his website? I'm thinking about buying an intake for my MY02 RS and their price is definately in my range....just wondering if anyone out there has it in theirs and what their thoughts on it are...

Are you talking about the Ganzflow one? if so i have one and i like it. Its sounds really sweet at WOT. If you want a lowd intake you probally want to look else where, one that removes "the BOX".

I have a Ganzflow... I have to say that with the K&N, it is the best $150 I spent on the car (still haven't bought tires so I can't compare to that ) It's not really all that loud at WOT, espically when compared to the Cobb intake... but if you wanted something to listen to without buying an exhaust, the Ganz will do. A Cobb intake WILL drown out an exhaust at WOT it is that loud, not to mention $100 more. As for the butt dyno... feels stonger now in the cooler air, but I also have an exhaust. When I installed it during the summer heat, I didn't feel anything.

I got it also, with the K&N. It's very nice, and like everyone else has said, it's got a sweet sound at WOT. Very easy install as well.

Yeah it's pretty good. I just took mine off, and went back to stock because I'm getting the Cobb intake and I can tell a difference. The engine is less responsive than it was with the Ganzflow. I'll give you a good deal on mine if you are interested. Only used for 5000 miles.

After a few months, I had enough discretionary income to buy the Ganzflow intake. I was wondering if there was any other installation procedure than the physical aspect? Meaning resetting the ECU or 'tuning' the vehicle at all?

Thanks,
Alex

Thumbs up

I agree! Larry's CAI is great. Although it sucks if you hit a puddle really hard! I almost killed the engine! No more driving through marsh fields for me again!

The engine took in a lot of water??? What happens exactly to the engine. I would imagine that its bad cause too much of anything is bad but can the engine recover from that or is it irreprobable damage?

A little bit of water won't hurt, but a good amount will. water does not compress, that is why if there is enough of it in the cylinder, the rod will bend because the water doesn't go anywhere.

basically, if you think of how a normal engine works, and then apply water to it, you will see how it could break stuff.

Is there any diff. in there performance between the two? Are they made out of the same material? Also do they produce the same sound?
