Koni inserts are the only ones out for the 04+ WRX. Kind of a PITA to do but it's also the best way to go. You can get them here http://alexperformance.com/products.asp?id=10&pg=2 they have good prices and the yare very helpful

I have done the koni install and it is very easy to do. I would recomend having a dremel instead of trying to use a hack saw like the directions so.
I think i got mine from alexperformance and where very good to deal with. pm me if you want some pics of my install or have any questions if you go that route. also have some pics of my 50mm wheel studs that i installed |

What many people do is buy the 02/03 struts then get spacers for the rear struts to make them work with the 04+ top hats. There are several threads about it. The struts for the 02/03 are KYB, AGX, Tokico D spec, and Konis.

Would there be any benefit to replacing the struts with the OEM struts from an 04 STi? I need to replace my struts as well, but am torn between getting the Koni's, or getting the Tein Basic coilover system (which rides REALLY nice from what I've heard).

here is the link to my wheel stud install. did the struts at the same time.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...8#post12228828 pretty easy to do the strut install drill pilot hole being careful as the gas escapes. this hole will be made bigger to accomodate the screw that holds the insert in to go through. ![]() hack saw job gone bad on first strut ![]() strut pulled from body ![]() koni recomends measuring the distance from the top to the ridges on the body so you know where to cut the strut ![]() we figured out after the first one that it looks cleaner and works better to dremel here. ![]() frist strut ready to go back in. also installed group n strut tops at that time also. ![]() couple shots up on the stands ![]() ![]() |

anyone looked into the tokico d spec shocks for an 04?
saw those on a parts site and thought that might be another option. I was looking at going sti pinks and an adjustable shock other than the koni (don't want to gut again and mess up my stock struts) |

And if you think anyone is paying $612 for the TIC spacers, you're whack. It is $612 for 4 konis though. |
