Default Tires for 17x7?

I have some 17x7 OZ Superleggeras, and I was wondering, should I go with 225/45/17, 215/45/17, or 215/40/17, most likely with Nexen N3000's? I have a wagon, would any of those rub? How much of a difference would the 40 sidewall make in the accuracy of the speedometer? How much of a difference would the 40 sidewall make for gear shortening? This may be a noobish question, but I'm anxious to get the wheels installed, and it's something extremely cheap for the Nexens to get installed (410.00).

The 06-07 WRX comes with 215/45-17 on a 17x7 wheel - you could do that or a 225/45-17 (I'd do the 225's myself). Never heard of Nexen tires, so no comment on that one.

The General tires are awesome. I am running them and they give me excellent traction.

Someone posted this the other day, I think it might help with the speedo question.

The 215/40x17 are way too short. Aside from the speedometer error, increase RPM at highway speeds, etc, they'd look funny. The 225/45x17 is actually the correct plus one size for you car. It's the same diameter as the 205/55x16 and the size recommended by Tire Rack.

I have a question related to this. I want to buy the P1's, and they are a 17x7. I really would like to run a 225/45, but I dont want it to be too stretched. I shouldnt have clearance issues because I am going to a flex coilover. Oh, I have a GC8, 01MY. Help would be much appreciated
