Default has anyone connected to their OBD-II port?

check out this $122 software.

http://obd-2.com/

I'm probably going to get it for my 330i and my Forester. You could do all sorts of interesting things like measure airflow, rpm and intake air temp. it would be nice to compre the effects of different intake options.

I got that obd-ii scanner. It's actually really well made. I hooked up an old laptop and works really well while driving. I can easily clear the CE code, freeze data for the CE code, the sensor data, etc etc. Without it, I could've never figured out the cause of my CE light problem that I had.

Talk to "Legacy GTR". He's the one who set up the GB back in October.

AHHHH.. I couldn't wait.

I went ahead and ordered one through paypal. I also got all three connectors so I could use it on different vehicles.

Hehe. Dammit.

Now I've got to learn more about my car!

maybe a dumb question: do you have to have a laptop or can it store information so you can plug it into a PC out of reach of the car? Thanks,

Jim

yes, you'll need to run it on a laptop. the good news is that it will run on an old 386 with Windows 3.1. check out the system requirements on teh web site I included above.

you can probably get an old toshiba pentium on eBay for $100. I found an old toshiba 200cds (old pentium with 24MB of RAM) and loaded NT4 on it. it runs fine. I made sure to get a laptop with a network card so that I can dump the data to my server at home.

Default okay, group buy price is $73 for 20+ coppies

with this software and an old laptop (386 with windows 3.1 okay) you can monitor your car's ODB-II system for things like mass air flow, intake temperature, RPM etc.

download the demo and play around with it.

Please email me your name and email address if you are interested so that I can forward the email list to the developer.

my email: 31st330i@roadfly.com

---------------------------------------------------------

Yes, the group buy price is 2% per qunaity up to 40 % off, 30% for all car units. can mix or match, example 20+ of ISO unit = 40% of 122 =$73. includes ship world wide.

You will need to collect all names and a email. You can also collect
payments, or I can set up a special order link site for paypal or check or money order.

you should start a new thread labled "OBD-II Group Buy", i don't think you would have any problems getting your 20 that way.
