Default Tire pressure

I am running my Fuzion ZRi tires this winter, since I am too cheap to buy snow tires. Anyways to improve my traction should I lower my tire pressure? I run 35psi cold normally.

ZRi are summer tires.
You are not cheap. You are an ... very brave man.

Yea, I know they are summer tires, the first time it snowed a couple of weeks, I did a 180 on the highway, but a guy was merging into my lane while it was snowing heavily, LOL.

What is your insurance deductible?
If I were you I would buy all seasons, even really cheap ones.

Sometimes you can find barely used re92s in the For Sale forums. People hate them so they are very cheap. They will be safer than summer tires.

...an *****.....ya mean

and the cost of an accident is WAY above even what a cheap set of winter tires would cost

It is supposed to be read like this:

ZRi are summer tires.
You are not cheap. You are an (pauses and takes a deep breath) very brave man.

Krzys

PS Try on line places (www.tirerack.com, www.tires.com, www.tire-easy.com) or for sale here or craigslist for second hand tires. If you caused an accident involving me and I would find what tires you have (I love to check tires by the way ;-) I would bring it up with insurance if not hire an attorney.
You are saving money in the wrong place.

A few years back I was visiting my home country and there parked was nice blue WRX. WRXes are almost twice as expensive in Poland than in USA. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it had Dunlop SP 9000 (summer ultra high performance) quite worn tires. It was harsh winter. Temperatures were around 0-10 F. Brave man are everywhere.

LOL, damn people just love to flame, I might get some depending on if it even snows anymore here. The cheapest I found around here for new tires with discount tires, where I can get a hook up is $240 for all 4. I would rather pay like $100, lol.

[flame thrower on]
Do not forget that summer tires are poor not only in snow and ice but just general cold too.
Real winter has arrived (at least in New England) and $240 may be your money best spend.

[flame thrower off]
