Default FS: Testing waters for my '99 Impreza 2.5RS GM6

This summer I may be buying a motorcycle. If I do that, I'll need to sell my RS. So, I'm just testing waters to see if anyone would be interested in my subie.

Kelly's Blue Book Value is about $9,500. If I sold the car with all the mods listed above, I'd want something more like $12,000. I could bring it back to stock and sell it w/o any mods for cheaper, though. Let me know if you're interested in this.

Right now, I'm at school and my RS is being garaged at my parents place Northwest of Boston. Car has been garaged for the most part since I bought it. No known problems currently. Only service issues I've had to have taken care of other than normal maintanence is a blown MAF sensor and one rear wheel bearing (both known trouble spots).

Thanks for looking,
Danny

If I don't end up getting a bike, that's exactly the direction this car is headed. As soon as the funds are there, I plan on doing a full STi drivetrain swap with DCCD, brembos, etc. The whole 9 yards.

I just pulled out the headliner and sprayed it using flat black vinyl and fabric spray paint.

If it comes down to it and you are thinking of parting a few things out, let me know. You've got a couple things I'd be interested in.

That said, bump for a sweet car!

I'll keep that in mind.

and Jay - this is just a possibility right now, nothing's set in stone yet. I'd love to keep the RS and get a bike, but I just won't be able to afford everything.

I'll probably start on a Ninja 250 then make my way up to a CBR 600 RR. Or maybe a GSXR. First thing I'm gonna do is take the MSF course for beginners before I even start looking at buying a bike.

Taking the MSF course is a great idea. I had a lot of fun doing it a couple years ago. Starting on a 600 really isn't all that bad. Once you get the general jist of riding, you will soon find that you will want something more than the 250. A great all-around bike (for beginners and experiened) is the Suzuki SV650S. My brother has a Yamaha YZF-600R which is also a good bike (it was his first bike).

EDIT: Sorry to get the thread a bit off-topic, so back it goes!

I did it a while back. I remember having to cut and ground one wire in the underdash wiring. I know there's a good writeup of it on scoobymods.com.

Do they rub or did you have to roll your fenders?

Give me a heads up if you're going to part out.

You need to roll the rear fenders to run 225's, but 215's will work just fine.
