Default FS: WRX motor w/ spun bearing

Update- looking to get $500 obo for the 2.0 Short Block, price is not firm make me an offer, looks in good shape but I have not cracked it open, from what the shop told me I think it is a rod bearing. I can take pics if any one is interested, but like I said I has not been cracked open yet.

Car is in the shop right now, but I am almost positive it is a spun bearing. I will post more details as I get them from the shop. Car almost 80,000 on it. Just trying to see if anyone is interested in it right now.

I am going with an STi SB so I will have a couple other parts for sale as things need upgrading. Such as NGK plugs with 10,000 miles and the coils. I will list more as I get the parts.

I hope someone is interested, my garage bill keeps getting bigger and bigger as I decided to do clutch and timing belt while they are in there.

Boostin, I actually just moved to coventry, the closing was the day after the spun the bearing. I lived on west lake in one of the many apartments on that road. I lived there for a couple of years, I am sure we have crossed at some point.

Is your car stock? What makes you think you spun a bearing? Just curious . . .

The SB is in my garage, it was not split, but XXtuning is pretty sure it is a spun rod bearing. I will take pics if anyone is interested. The engine was not cleaned so you can see there doesn't seem to be any metal in it. Block seems to be fine no cracks or anything, if anyone has questions let me know.

96Lconversion, car was basically stock, cobb stage 2 with uppipe, larger intercooler and some other small things. You can tell usually by the sound, it is pretty distinctive. I autocrossed the car a bunch and was having boost problems so I think that lead to it.

Ah, maybe some oil deprivation issues during hard cornering during auto-xing. I'm thinking of going stage 1 or 2, just trying to see if anyone is having long term problems with it. Thanks for the info, hope it's not a pricey repair for ya!

50-60HP more than where it started is not "basically stock".

With the crazy builds that some people have been doing, my car seems very stock. Speaking of crazy builds, my SB would be perfect for someone to start a crazy fast subbie project
