Question Bugeye JDM HID Lowbeam Issue

Hey all,

My 02 WRX has been sitting for the past 6 months. I threw a new battery in it and started it up for the first time last week. For whatever reason, the HID low beams decided to no longer work for the driver or passenger side. They worked perfectly fine before the car was parked in my garage so I'm rather stumped.

Things I have done so far:
  • Checked over the Lightwerkz harness - can't see any apparent defects
  • Unplugged all connectors on the harness to inspect for any debris/damage/corrosion - none found
  • Inspected ground point - no issue noticed
  • Installed 2 brand new HID D2S bulbs - no dice

So I'm really not sure where to look from here. Everything else works; high-beams, turn signals, DRL's. Could this be an OEM ballast issue? Or some deeper wiring issue that magically appeared during hibernation?

Let me know your thoughts/opinions.

Thanks,

-Andrew

Whatever connector that serves as the input to the ballast; does a voltmeter register ~13V there?
(Don't check the output of the ballast; aside from it being AC, the startup voltage when working is quite high)

I'll have to get hand of a voltmeter and check this weekend.
