Broggie90, I have mine connected differently. I will get you a pic later this afternoon. Mine is teed off of the intake manifold on the front passenger side.

EDIT: Found a pic on another forum. See image number 2 here. I ran a boost hose from my gauge directly to this T. He has is going through the passenger side only because that is where the driver sits.

Boost gauge hose routing

I have the greddy informeter ver. 1.7 and I set it to read intake manifold pressure basically using my obd to read off boost instead of using the boost sensor. Is this an accurate way of reading boost ? Do I still need to get the boost sensor?

Yes, it will show a warning because with the key on only their is no oil pressure, so the gauge "thinks" there is a problem.

Here's a better VDO link to look at their automotive gauges.

For me, I'd like to add the three gauges, but it's just a matter of where. I really like the A pillar mount, however it seems a little too "out in the open" for my tastes. While I love the look it while sitting in the driver's seat, I've never really thought to highly of it seeing it on other (random) people's cars. It just comes across wrong to me for some reason.

But I am not a fan at all of the steering wheel mount. I just do not like the look or location of it at all.

I'm not a fan of the glove box mount, even less so than I am a fan of the steering wheel mount.

I do sorta like the center-dash board mount, but with the stock clock and temp read-outs up there, I don't see any room for gauges.

Realistically, based on what I'm comfortable with, I think the A pillar mount is my best bet. There are a lot of pros I can think of, and only really one con. So maybe I'll just suck it up and go with that. And although tinting front windows in cali is forbidden, maybe I'll just do that to mask the pillar mount a bit. IDK.

Default boost wiring help

ok so just installed a prosport boost gauge and oil temp (missing harness for power on oil temp so haven't wired it)

The wiring for the boost is driving me crazy. It doesn't read (brand new sensor) and is possessed.

I tapped my clocks power.

The gauge never shuts off.
Does not read.
I don't know how but with headlights on and wipers or turn signals on the gauge fluctuates (like maxes out then goes back down) makes no sense to me cause I tapped the clock.
Flashes with my alarm (locking / unlocking car)

To the point where I'm gonna take it to a shop to have them fix the wiring up.

Or just give us a call so we can walk you through the wiring connections. You have it wired up wrong and should not be using the clock wiring as that is a dimmable circuit.

How much would it be to have a shop install a boost and oil pressure gauge?

one quick question. my girlfriend ordered me a Prosport Air/Fuel Ratio gauge with me not knowing and basically reading this its useless. If i were to order a Wideband O2 like this one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AEM-Wideband...2fc8b9&vxp=mtr

would this work with the prosport gauge? or is there any cheaper ones online that would work? If not then i can return it.

Any A/F probe will not read correctly in the up pipe. You have to mount it in the down pipe, and yes you need to weld in a mounting boss. The Prospot sensor will be fine if mounted in the right spot.

(It has to do with back pressure from the turbo.)

I don't know about mixing and matching parts, but IIRC the Prosport is a wide band system.

Do you have oe of these: http://prosportgauges.com/wideband_AFR_Gauge.aspx

Simple search. The kits come with the weld in bung

no she got me this one : http://prosportgauges.com/amber-whit...tio-gauge.aspx

this one is just for the lights. guess its useless.

thought i would be able to just order the 02 end : http://prosportgauges.com/bosch-wide...sor-17025.aspx

and just use it with this gauge, but i guess not. Might as well return it and get an EGT gauge or Oil pressure gauge.

You should send Prosport an e-mail and ask them. They might work together.

How are maddad guages overall, I search and found some negatives but can't get a good overview of them.

Are there any other gauges that match the 08+ Wrx cluster?

I know podi is making some but interested in getting the guage in the near future
