Post Window fixed in '02

Well I got my car back in one day. Window motor had shifted due to bolts falling out.

Dealer (GO Subaru in Grand Rapids) returned car cleaned and said they apologised for the inconvenience.

Nice shop. Window seems fine. They even replaced the little trim piece I broke when pulling the window back into position.

Happy WRXing again!

How badly was your door damaged. 3 of the 4 screws fell of mine. The last screw holding the motor up shifted back and forth so much that is ripped the sheetmetal and now there is a gaping hole, I put all 3 screwws that fell off and tightened them nice.

Was you door as badly damaged as mine? Cause the way it looks to mee, Subaru is either going to have to get me a new door or weld that part back up .

How did they fix your door?

They should fix yours. I had mine looked at because it was making noises. They said I brought it in before it did any damage.
I guess the motors have crazy torque and can do the damage you spoke of.

Remember the Bumper to bumper warranty.

The exact same thing happened to me, including the torn sheetmetal. They told me they vibrated loose due to my exhaust but "chose" to fix it anyway. I had to go back twice to have it fixed, but this time I insisted on loctite and nothing has happened since.

I have a clicking/creaking noise coming from my passenger side window, it creaks over speed bumps and inclines and clicks over bumps, lately if I accelerate quick it will creak.

Did you experience any of this?

It could be related but mine did not have those symptoms. Mines was like the others, when i would roll down the window it would seem like it falls off it's track, and it had gotten so bad that the window would not close all the way, the window would go up at a wierd angle, but when it was up it was up...no clicking or clacking for me..sorry.
