Default Subaru: The official sponsor of...

...The Puppy Bowl III. I was just flipping through the channels, and saw this show. Its a bunch of puppies chewing on toys in a room that looks like a football field. There isn't any narration or anything, just some very lame music. Subaru is the proud sponsor of this event, as you can see by all the banners.

I think someone should get a bunch of WRC drivers and do the same thing.

So that's why I didn't see any Subaru ads during the Super Bowl.

In the Seattle-area there was a "camping with an Outback" ad that was thoroughly forgettable (ran just before or after half-time, can't remember which). Not sure if it ran in the national ad bucket or was part of just a local buy, however.

My dog LOVED that show! He watched it for the better part of an hour. There was even a penalty flag for somebody leaving a foul on the fifty yard line...

The Puppy Bowl is a brilliant idea. It costs practically nothing for Animal Planet to produce and gets a ton of viewers (last year 7 million people watched it). All of the animals on the show are from various shelters and rescue groups, so that's even better.

The puppybowl was adorable. Subaru probably got more bang for their buck with that than they would have buying a 30-second superbowl ad for $texas.

Dogs + Subies = WOW

Love my Labs and I love the LGT.

BTW, the Puppybowl was better than the Superbowl.

Beer = GOOD

LOL...I bet someone at or someone close to someone at Subaru corporate is involved. On the other hand...maybe someone made a call at the right time.
