The wheels I'm getting are 18x8...
My previous set up was 225/40R18 and I'm thinking of going to a 235/40R18 for a wider tire... From the research I've done, it doesn't look like im going to have any problems... Tires will be Falken Azenis RT-615's on an 18x8 wheel... anybody else running this set up or anyone have any information that could help me out? Will this tire set-up work... Wheel: 18x8... Tire: 235/40R18 Falken Azenis RT-615 All information is appreciated... These tire's will also be used for auto-x'ing Your truly, SBX Falken Azenis RT-615: ![]()

Clearance is not his issue, he just wants to know if the 235 width tire will be too wide on an 18X8" rim and bulge, reducing the contact patch and thus negating the performance gain over the 225 width option.

On a 8" rim the 235 is a better choice.
