I think javwrx is running that(or larger) on his 05 STI lowered on Tien springs. Should fit stock springs fine since they're higher than the dropped ones.

you will have no probs at all on an 05 sti unless you have weird offset wheels.

There shouldn't be any rubbing issues on turns right?

Correct, should be no rubbing. I ran 245/45/17 Falken 615's on a set of Rota Torques all last year for autox, which surely puts more demands on tire clearance than daily-driving, and I had zero rubbing issues. My car is roughly at stock ride height (Espelir GT springs + camber plates in front, stock springs in rear). The tiny drop the GT's give is eaten up by the stack-height of the camber plates in front... hence I say my car is still basically stock height.

I currently run 17x9 e45 rims with 245/40/17 Neovas for autox, which is quite a bit wider setup and still no rubbing. A WRX or 04 STi would probably need to roll the rear fender though to run that setup.

I've seen 275s on stock springs on an 05 sti, this was for competition not on the street though...

Yep... if pics of this past Sunday's afternoon autox run-group get posted, there should be some of Martin's car... running AS on 275's Kumho V710s that are stuffed on to some Rota Torques. I am not sure what (if any) spacers might be in there, I think none, but Martin can weigh in.

Nice 'location' you have there ... Mooninites, FTW!

I run 245/40/17 on my LGT on 17x8 Torques. Stock height it was fine, even now dropped on coilovers. I had a tiny bit of rub in the back when I had some super low springs on, but only when I was hauling people on big bumps.

There were no spacers, it may have rubbed the strut in the rear if he used the stock rims. We did rub the front fender liner but it was pretty minimal. For some reason when I would drive a miniscule portion of the right rear would rub on the fender but it was nothing to be concerned about. Suspension was not completely stock though, he has a whiteline fsb.
