Question

PK..any comments on how you like the side window deflectors from exeter and how about the rear spoiler..does it help keep the rear window clear..or is strictly cosmetic????

By the way...the machine is looking good!

Thanks lakepop, about the side-deflector, I like them so much,
it can make our "machine" looks better but can't really roll
down my window that much when it's rainning, overall I pretty like it and really have to say thanks to Mike.
The spoiler doesn't keep my rear window clean AT ALL
it's just a little decoration I think...coz there is a gap between
the spoiler and the window....so.....here is a piture
poor english,sorry.
bye bye

Question side markers

Pk-- You have one nice Forester!! I haven't been keeping up with this board so I might have missed your talking about this but are the side markers you have on the front fenders being used a marker lamps or repeaters? I've wanted to put turn signal repeaters on mine. Are they JDM or aftermarket? ...I'm assuming aftermarket because of the clear lenses (?). Did you install them yourself? If so, did you use a factory harness or assemble your own wiring? If they are repeaters and you used a factory harness, were the connections straightforward?

What I want to do is have clear lenses with amber bulbs and use them as European-like turn signal repeaters. I've found a place on the internet(http://www.myerstoo.com/truckmall/sidemarkerlights.asp) that sells a variety of the light assemeblies themselves but am worried about the wiring procedure once I purchase them. Do I buy a pre-'02 (N.A.) Impreza harness? ...or could I wire them myself?

Any answers, comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA

I've never done it myself, but it seems like it would be pretty easy. Just snake the positive wire thru the fender (hard part) and use one of those "vampire" connectors to attach it to the Turn Signal positive wire. Now, either do the same with the ground wire (if your marker / repeater has one) or just find some other convenient (but OEM looking) place to attach the ground wire.

Just thinking, though, the additional added load might cause the flasher to flash a little quicker. May need to replace the flasher relay with one rated for more wattage if this faster flash is rate not desired. Just a thought...

That looks sweet. Is the fender flare dealer option there?

Thumbs up

thanks, those fender flares are came with the S premium package.....also the sunroof and spoiler
scirocco22: the side-markers are installed by an auto shop....so, I have no idea how they connect them....and it blinks only when I turn on signal lights(Emergency light also)
bye bye
