Hey everyone, ive had this Setup for almost a year now and i never used it.
The truck is a 1992 Ford F-350 Custom, 140,000 miles on the body, and 30,000 miles on the engine. I bought the truck used in February of last year. The guy I bought it from said he replaced the engine with a 351 that had 30k miles on it. He said that after he put the engine in, he never got around to tuning the truck. I purchased it off of him thinking I was going finish the job, and use it to help my brother (he owns a salvage cars company) and tow cars with my trailer (which I am now selling).
Well a year later and I haven’t touched it. I had a new EGR valve put in because the check engine light was on. As of now the truck runs, but runs very rough. I really think all it needs is a good tune, but I know nothing about Domestic cars, and I just don’t have the time.
As for using it to move cars, I haven’t had the time to get into business and am now studying to be a Doctor. I really hate to let the truck go, but it doesn’t do me any good sitting in my driveway.
The interior of the truck is kinda rough… the back seat is ok, needs cleaning but the front seat has a huge rip in it. I have a seat that I saved out of a F250 that I am including with the sale.. Who ever gets the truck and put the seat in themselves if they want to.
The exterior of the truck is pretty nice, I don’t see too much rust , and the frame seems to be fine. The only concern is that when I bought the truck the guy had been hit in the right rear of the bed. It drives fine, no major damage, but it doesn’t look so nice. I have a new chromed rear bumper that I am including as well in this sale.. Who ever buys the truck can use it to pretty of the rear of the truck .
The engine bay is very clean, you can tell the engine is new. The truck needs a battery, the old one crapped out, but I will see if I can get one out of my brothers junk cars to use for now.
The last major problem would be that the front fuel tank does not work. I am not sure why, when I bought the truck it didn’t work. If you press the switch to change to the front tank, it stalls. Could be a fuel filter problem, or something, I have no idea. The rear tank works fine, and doesn’t have any issues.
The trailer is a steel home built trailer that I purchased from a friend. It has a dove tail, brakes (although the wiring needs to be done), lights, and jack. It is has duel axels, and is perfect to transport your race car on. (I was planning to doing that too.)
Everything has clean titles, that I have in hand.
The Bike that is in the back of the truck is NOT for sale… well for now at least.
This would be a perfect truck and trailer setup for someone who wants a decent work horse or (cheap race car transport) and has some mechanical skills.
I am asking for 4500 for the truck, and 2500 for the trailer if sold separate. If bought together Ill let it go for 6000 for the whole deal.
I encourage people to come and see the truck. Test it, and drive it. Im not trying to hid anything, remember the truck runs very rough please don’t be surprised.
You can contact me at (914)602-2816… if I don’t pick up please leave a message (ill probebely be in class)
Or email me at [email protected]
The truck is located at my house in Peekskill New York, 10566. Its about 1.5 hours north of NYC.
Thanks for looking
