Default 225/40/16 on old RS wheels?

Just wonderin if it is a bad idea. I have 205/55/16's on there now. These are goin on an 05 WRX, thanks.

Also, if anyone has pics of them that would be really really helpful!!

I meant 225/50/16

Are you sure you don't mean 225 45 or 50? 225 40 is a really odd size, only seen on a few R comps that I can recall. Definately an abnormal size though.

I'll get you a pick tonight. I have two sets, RE050's on 00 RS's and 615's on 5-spokers.

They look fine, 7" is actually the measured rim width of the Azenis, nothing out of the ordinary.

i had 225/50/16 (on my im old impreza)

they fit the rims fine, but i had to use a 3mm spacer for the rear to keep it off the struts

'02+ shouldnt have this problem.

I had 225/50-16 on mine and they rubbed. went to 225/45-16 and have not rubbed at all...

Well I just got em mounted and balanced and will hopefully be putting them on tommorrow. They will be on an 05 WRX, thanks again
