Default Wheel, Tire, Offset for 40mm wide fenders

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of doing the widebody thing with 40mm wider per side of the car.

Right now I have an 18x7.5 rim with 42 offset. Obviously this is going to look dinky on the car.

I am thinking of a 17" rim with some nice beefy tires. But I am not sure what offset I would need or what rims I should be looking for?

Price is a consideration, not looking for anything too expensive.. Trying to save some money for brakes.. and I am doing the widebody work myself.

Any suggestions would be great,

Cheers

Do the math. If you want the wheel face to be 40mm more towards the outside than it is now you need a 40mm lower offset or a mix of lowered offset and increased wheel width.
