Hallmark holidays all suck.

Why is there no Children's Day? Because everyday is Children's Day. Ergo, if you are really in love, really infatuated with your SO, then every day could be Valentine's Day.

Why do you morons hate on valentines day?

Think about it, all you singles: don't get sad. That's the girl's responsibility.

Think of it as a day (or rather, a week) where single girls are so sad and desperate that you can hook up with them like it's nothing. Their 'threshold' of 'expectations' gets so low that a bum crack addict can even pick up a date.

It doesn't have to be ON valentines, just around that day, because it reminds the girls of what THEIR missing out on. (keep that mentality and you'll be ok). This is a chance where girls drop their guards and let just about anyone in, and oh wow, including you

Geez, look at the cup half full. My last 3 relationships all started 2 weeks prior to valentines

Some of us are looking for more then just a hook up.

lol, my mom still sends me a card and stuff. I am 29 for gods sake. I told her I didn't want anything anymore, but she still send me 20 bucks and told me to go out and get myself a steak dinner.

Your studly insights notwithstanding, it's a made-up holiday.

Like Arbor Day. Like Flag Day. Like Secretary's Day.....which BTW has been politically corrected on my desktop calendar to "Administrative Professionals Day"

I hate Valentine's day. When I'm single it depresses me. When I'm not, I have to spend money on stupid things to make her happy.

It's a lose lose situation.

Girls letting down their guard or not, even a regular Cyrano de Bergerac like me hasn't done a ****ing thing on V-day for three years.

You can burn in hell with your propaganda.

Someones optomistic. Why be so cheap?

Be creative. Pick a flower from your garden, or someone elses if you don't have one. She'll appreciate that much more than a bouquet of what looks like a vomit of different colors. Plus, you'll be unique and stand out

That's true, and that happens via time. High school relationships don't last. Most stable and actual 'good' relationships in my opinion happen around your mid to late 20s. Patience FTW.

....but for the time being, hooks up are nice, aren't they?

Cyrano de Bergerac? Have you considered a nose job? Either that or you're doing something severely wrong.

Living flowers in your garden in February? Not likely, at least not around here.

This is my first Valentine's Day in 4 years where I'm single and I couldn't be happier about it.
