Default WTB: coke + laptop = need a new computer

So I spilt half of a 20oz coke in my laptop and its completely broken. Won't even start up now. I need to buy a desktop or laptop computer in good shape. I'm hoping to spend around $500 on it, but am open to suggestions. I'm an engineering student and need to be able to do autoCAD, C++, matlab and the likes. Other than that, all I use my comptuter for is internet, microsoft word, excel, and music. I don't game at all, so I don't need something really advanced.

Let me know if any of you guys have something that I could buy off of you. I'm in Boston at Northeastern, but could pick up just about anywhere within a reasonable distance from Boston with cash.

Thanks,
Danny

It's a dell latitude d620. Not really on a lot of the specs. I know I beefed it up a bit memory wise and ram wise. I'm a real noob when it comes to computers.

Take out the hard drive, the battery, and the motherboard. wipe them all down. you might get lucky, but maybe not.

if the deal with blazin falls through definitely look at newgg.com or pricewatch.com. but youd ahve to get it shipped and what not.

Fixed.

That's a good price for a used laptop though.. is that warranty transferrable?

I'm an A+, network+, Dell DCSE, HP techsmith, Toshiba Authorized Technician, Apple tech and a network engineer.
If he spilled coke on his unit, it's toast.

I'm still selling my laptop if you're interested.

CCNA is over rated and over priced.
I've been the project leader on a few setups telling CCNAs, MCSEs and CCIEs what to do... I'm not gonna pay 5 figures to have a piece of paper tell me that I already know something.
