Very nice. Your car is like my evil twin.... mine is the black bugeye wagon with the stock wheels done black with a red lip.... and, similar to you, my car has been out of commission for about 3 months now, waiting on a new suspension. Weird....

I much prefer your 17" 6 spokes over my 16" 5 spokes. My offer to trade you still stands

Thanks. I saw the picture before. It shows the brand, but I was wondering what the color is actually called. Brass, Bronze, Gold, something like that. Unless there's only one color that's close to that shade?

I just got mine finished for the autox season. In six days, I will have pics of them on the car.

The first pic is the most accurate of how they look in person.

Isn't that how twins usually work? When one is sick they both are. Don't worry I am working on my 500 mile break in running on a rough break in map. I can't wait to get the thing tuned. If it wasn't for the cams I would be doing it myself.

I couldn't get rid of the wheels now, I put way too much time and money into them now. Yeah the media blasting was $45 per wheel! Not to mention when I bought them I had them shipped 3 day select from CA to CT
Look for a used set of boosts for sale, you should be able to pick them up cheap. And go to town on them.

^^^rene-

what wheels are those that you have? I thought they were 6-spoke 2.5rs wheels but those are only 16" aren't they?

Yeah they are not stock wheels I know, but since everyone always wants to see different color combos and what not I posted them here anyways. And yes the RS 6 spokes were 16"

They are Rota Boost 17x8, the worse part is when I bought them Rota had just started making them black with a red lip:

but they had not started shipping to the US yet and would have taken 3-4 months to get the wheels. They offered to ship them from the Philippines to CT but yeah that was going to cost $660 in shipping alone. So I bought a different color I would be happy with for one summer and said I would paint them at a later date, which is what I did.

Thanks for linking the pic for him, Rene2.5RS.

I'm pretty sure it was called Metallic Brass. Bought it at Home Depot along with the clear coat.

^^^looks good, more pictures, process, and pictures of the cans please. I think i'm going to do the wheels on my RS this summer. can't decide between the gold I used before or the gold you have. the gold I used was more yellowish than yours which looks more bronzy, almost copper. ooh, is that the new color? copper?

rene, wheels look awesome, any side pictures?

Why yes I do. Took them yesterday after giving the car a much needed bath! Sorry for the larger picture but I wanted to keep the quality up.

Does anyone know a good way to make a lip on the 06 wrx rims?

did that about 2 years ago and i want to do the same kind of design on the 06's but since there is no actual bead lip on the 06's im kinda stumped on how to do it evenly.

Thanks in advance!

it may have been done already, in fact I'm most certain it has, but what about a red stripe around the projector on the headlight?

I am not opening my headlights again. Most of the time when people paint the
red around the projector they go over board and make it a thick line. If you care to see these are my lights:

Example of going over board with the red around the projector:

I have on order black subaru high temp replacement decals for the calipers to replace the white subaru now.
