My complete Right Hand Drive JDM STi Build. I'm going to picture document my entire build here. The target goal is a 275HP 2600pound car thats RHD w/ JDM STi Drivetrain. 12 second car stock!
So far we've stripped the doner car (93 Impreza L), took out the motor that was in it...ej20k(it came with the shell, long story) and purchased a WRX Front clip w/ Full Rear End. Day of purchase: ![]() ![]() ![]() Day 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() dropped the current motor out ![]() ![]() ![]() Day 2 ![]() The Ballers Arrive

why did you take a non STi EJ20K out to put in a non STi EJ20G in?
if im correct the EJ20K's were rated at 280hp and the EJ20G's were 240-260hp in stock form. that clip is neather a STi or an RA so it will most likely be open deck also. dont get me wrong you now have all the parts to do the RHD swap and that will be awesome. but was there something wrong with the old engine (EJ20K)? -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com |

I bought the shell from a friend but the motor was still in it. I didn't buy that from him because I needed a full clip to do the RHD conversion so I just bought that instead. Cheaper to buy all at once.

i would get the K setup in there. i love mine, and you are building my car except you're RHD. i chose LHD after serious thought. i had to customize a little bit, but simple enough, and works OEM still.
good luck tho! sounds like fun --keith |

I know a couple of those infamous people in the pics you have. Very helpful guys. You must be near SF. I did the same exact thing you are about to do about a year ago. Don't worry that it's just a wrx motor and not an Sti. It will be plenty fast and faster than almost everything out there. Besides the only main difference between the wrx and regular Sti is the Ecu. Just have H get you an Sti ecu and you'll make the extra 20Hp. Good luck with the conversion and if you run into any problems or need parts, let me know. Long live right hand drive! (even if we have to make it ourselves)
Oh and here's mine. It wasn't all done yet but you'll get the idea. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=949955 |

That's one hell of a build. Wish I could do the same, but I have a few years yet until I can afford it.
Where are you located dude? If you're in the Tristate area and willing to sell it, I might be able to take that LHD dashboard off your hands. |

Now this is my kind of thread. Take as many pics as you can. That's one thing I'm not good at doing is taking pics of my projects. I've just finished my second RHD swap and again I didn't take many pics. Well good luck. Keep us updated. Ya know if you fly me out I can take care of welding that firewall in for you
spulinup I remember seeing your thread way back. cars looks awesome |

Word, I'm doing my best to document every step of the way. The motor is ready to be dropped out of the clip and would be out already if I hadn't stripped done of the bolts on the xmember.
