Default Squeeky windows & how to quiet them

Both the driver's & front passenger windows squeak as they roll up. It's rather annoying, and seems to have only recently started with the rainy season here.

I think it's caused by rubbing against the black triangular piece that sits against the A-pillar. Has anyone else suffered this & remedied it? I was thinking about WD-40, or Rain-X. I'd like to fix it once & forget about it.

I took a rag with some Wax shop liquid carnuba on it and waxed the inside rubber track area you mentioned. The noise is gone for now. I just used a lite coat and then wiped it off after drying.

Thanks for the tip... it worked. I had to stuff a couple tablespoons of wax in there to get fully quiet but it took care of that hellacious squeek.

I had the dealer take apart the doors and lube the window track. It's been silent for 8K now. Only did that after other remedies weren't working for me...

Take it back to your dealer.

I had took it to one, they couldn't reproduce the sound (Tischer, MD) so it wasn't fixed.

I took it to a second one (Fitz, MD), they couldn't reproduce the sound, but opened the assembly, and refitted it, and no there's no squeeking!

p.s. why wax or rain-x your windows when you're pay 20k for the warranty?
