![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I really like audi's direction on vehicles. Their designs are just so clean. I just wish BMW could follow suit. Oh well, still its another car i cant afford. BlitZ

...I suspect the car is going to be closer to the A6 in size than the A4. I would much prefer it to be no larger than the A4. And then there's the handling factor. It's pretty much known that the BMW 335i has nailed it in handling and acceration departmentws. The A5 better not be wanting in those areas, considering that it ain't going to be cheap.
Also I bet that we don't see the diesel engine in the States... well, maybe later we will. |

i like it a lot, although the rear looks too much like the 3-series coupe's rear end.

I would've expected something a little more dramatic for an Audi coupe, but this is still pretty good.
Now someone please explain to me how they are placing the engine behind the front axle? And why Subaru can't do the same? (Although the front overhang doesn't seem THAT much shorter than other Audis) |

The key for Audi is they need to be able to price an AWD with the 4.2 v8 at teh same price point as the 335i coupe. Otherwise why bother. Nice looking but a tad simple, I was hoping for something a little more TTish but larger.

There is nothing wrong with RWD S-3 series, the styling is bold and beautiful, the new 3.0 L engine is best in it's class in terms of power, the turbo variant available sedan and coupe makes these highly desirable... I think it's audi that needs to play catch up for it's entry cars... |

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/02/...-a5/#more-4814 To me, it looks fantastic! But it does have a lot of BMW 3-Series coupe in it, along with some older Volvo C70 |

A real 2+2 coupe from Audi has been looooong over due. I am sure Audi will sell these like hot cakes. Doubt the U.S. market will see the TDI.

If priced right it should sell well but not if its the 250hp 6 cylinder is priced the same as the 335i. What does a base A4 with the 6 cost now? I assume the A5 will be a few grand more expensive?

I'm loving the way it looks but I really doubt it'll come in below 40k
Infiniti should wake up and offer ATESSA in the G35c as an option. With the 328xi coupe and now this, they'll have a lot of competition for those that want a lux coupe + AWD. (although the 328xi is only 250hp, while this and the Infiniti are closer to 300) |

That will definitely be over 40k.
The more and more I look at these high end german cars with AWD, the more I think they're pretty overpriced. Hopefully the new Impreza impresses (the current set of renders are beautiful). I don't think I can reasonably afford any of these luxo coupes anyways, and I also think a hatch/wagon is better for my newfound hobbies anyways. |
