Im looking to get a vortex generator on my 06 wrb wrx and was wondering if anyone had painted it to match their car or will that look too tacky?

i think it would look better painted the color of the car... unless you have a carbon fiber roof the carbon fiber vortex generator would look out of place

i still think it would look out of place because its part of the roof? especially if your car is NOT black, it would stand out and look funny... anyone have pictures?

i dont think it would look bad carbon fiber or painted black if you had your rear window tinted cause then it blend with that

Please don't install a vortex generator on a WRX or STi. It's an Evo thing!

Why not just get the roof vane if you want something up there? Vanes have been around a lot longer and are more legit IMO...

But I say CF if you have to have it.

CF looks good. WRX's have a decent amount of black trim, especially around the windows so it actually blends nicely IMO.

Do they make a roof vane for the older Imprezas, or will the 06+ fit?

You should get some vortex generators that really work.

Something like this!!!

http://www.airtab.com/ They keep stressing about putting these on trucks, but Denis of DPcars.net is trying them out on his Mini and on his Ariel Atom! I will be watching this one closely.

I actually saw a picture of a GC with vane on it... not sure if it was fabricated or even real but it looked ok. I don't actually recommend either piece though. I'm much more into the subtle looks.
