Default SoCal: A red FD + Surfside Mobile Detailing =

Sorry for the Red X's -- working on it!

Hi all,

Over the weekend, we had another big install day in SoCal (pics of that later). This first batch of pictures is of a nice red FD. As you can see from the hood in the first picture, the car was a MESS before they started working on it. Most of the paint on the car was horribly oxidized and some panels like the hood were missing clearcoat altogether. The detailers worked on this car for several hours, and I think the results speak for themselves. Hope you like 'em.

That's my car! Evan and his team did an excellent job it looks even better in person. I bought the car that way about a month ago. I was considering painting it but the results from the detail should hold me over for a while.

holy shizat, that's the craziest before and after detail job I've seen..and on one of my favourite cars (was going to get one before I got my Impreza but...FDs wouldn't be smart in the winter, and I needed a car all year)

How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?

All FDs have that problem. The paint sucks worse that Subarus if you can believe that. Luckily mine was repainted.

The previous owner said that he had it repainted with a single stage paint That plus it seems like red cars fade easier.

i thought you weren't supposed to polish a single stage paint job? i had a '92 miata with single stage and i was told to never polish it, otherwise the paint would rub off...

but that is amazing how well they cleaned the paint.

Well since he isnt the original owner like stated before he didnt do the paintjob since he also said the following:

i dont think he knows for sure what or how it was painted...

and yes red cars fade pretyy fast/easy....most bright colors do....well to be honest not any faster or easiers its mainly with bright colors its more noticable because they begin to look dull

anyways the FD looks awsome!

Thanks alot Mike for the pics and I'm still amazed by the before and after pictures. My partner spent about 4 hours working paint on this car. Pricing was extra special as a another job like this one would be around $300-400. Meguiars compound and glaze did this magic.
