I had a '98 WRX with that setup and I'm down into the 10's.

No bugeye or blobeye is going to run 10's with that setup. They just weigh too damn much. I would expect you could run low 13's, depending on your driving skills.

I was about to say, I have seen a couple, and maybe a couple 18g'd wrx's runnin in the high to mid 11's, and most EVO III 16g'd wrxs with good drivers are in the low 13 to high 12 range

I have the emailed Accessport maps from PDX. My location is too far from any AWD dyno or tuner to get a proper tune at the moment. However, with my VF30, DR725 FMIC and some torco mix at around 20psi, I ran 13.1@106. Not the best ET but a good trap speed.

As PDX will tell you, these emailed tunes are pretty conservative.

If its tuned right, and the engine is in good repair, and your a good driver I dont see why the car wouldnt be able to run high 12s. People have run mid 12s with VF series turbos all boost so if you tweak your setup right you can do that too.

That doesnt make sense, most STOCK TURBO 2.0l wrxs with good drivers are running low 13s. Hell when I used my stock turbo w/stock intercooler it would trap consistently at 105mph and run 13.1/13.2 easy. The new wrx's with 2.5L motors should be breaking into the high 12s all the time with stock turbos IMO. A EVOII16G should put our cars in the mid 12s IMO if not faster.. Im thought ive been seeing this from the threads ive read not sure what your lookin at.

just to clarify the one that i'm looking at buying is an 03

It's possible, but far from a normal time. Stock turbo record, no no2, is like 12.x @106.x.

This car you speak of will run mid twelve to low 14 depending on eleventy billion variables. Buy it, run it and tell us how you do.

stock? no way.. I think i misunderstood the post. I thought the guy was saying that most people are running low 13s with the PDX stage 4 which didnt really make sense to me since it has a VF34 and all the other supporting mods and you dont need half that stuff to run low 13s.

i guess that would make more sense? maybe he just meant the most modified car possible, short of a turbo upgrade

Let me start by saying I am not an every weekend drag racer...

I have the PDX Tuning mail order map for VF34/Perrin TMIC, APS TBE with high flow cat and supporting mods.

My best thus far has been 13.6 @ 98mph in May of 2006. It was high 70s temp in Ohio.

The chassis alone in the GC cars was easily 200lbs less. There is a big weight difference between pre 2002 WRXs and the bugeyes and beyond. I don't think it's anything close to enough to run 10's, but it is what it is. Cough up that time slip Chet!

2.5's are puttin down some good times on the stock turbo.....my first run ever with a stage 2 shelf map was a 13.5@100 with only a 1.882 60'.

vf should easily put someone in the 12's.
