Default i am very proud of myself

i am what you call a "computer retard". about a month ago, i decided to build my very own compter for the first time and except for some issues with windows SATA drivers, it went pretty well. well, last week i decided to do some small projects on the computer:

1) rewire the entire thing using a cut hole (running all the wires from the side instead of the top).
2) replacing all the cables with better ones (round IDE and locking SATA)
3) replacng the Northbridge cooler
4) replacing CPU cooler
5) replacing all the thermal material with Arctic Silver 5
6) Installing a new sound card (that is the easy part)

well, today i took on this project and i am proud to say that after 4 hours, my computer is back together, my sound card is installed, my temps are 10c degreen lower AND my wires are all nice and clean .

i know that to most of you this will seem like no big deal but for me, this is a great achivment because i tackled my fear of computers and did this all by myself ....

p.s

i would like to give a special thanks to my friend the interweb because without him, my computer would be dead by now

Yeah, but, in the end, you have a PC, what good is that?

Now don't forget what you've learned because you will be doing it again in 6 months.

Why would he do that? I got just over 2 years from my last rig. Are you actually suggesting that PC users have to rebuild their computers every 6 months?

Not the average PC user that builds his own. Mine has lasted me over 2 years so far as well. I know some people though that upgrade whenever something new comes out. It's definitely but that was what I was implying. My comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously.
