Hey everyone,
Since the AP is reading the bost from the ecu, is it as accurate as the oem boost gage? Im upping my wastegate actuator and the readings are quite different from the gauge to the AP live boost. Any ideas?

How different is "quite different"?

I push .1 bar on stock gauge which is I think 14.7 psi, and the AP is reading 16.4.

I would consider the AP more accurate.
It's simply interperating the what the stock ECU thinks your boost is. |

That's strange I would think the boost gauge would be more accurate because of the fact that it's tapped in, not just electronically reading it. Any other input?

I think that the ECU is the most accurate, especially if you have a mechanical boost gauge....I mean it's like doing math by hand vs. using a calculator...the calculator will always be a step faster and a step more accurate 99% of the time. The sensors in the engine are more accurate than the spring in a mechanical boost gauge IMO. However, both my AP and Mech. boost gauge read about the same and at most are maybe .5 PSI different sometimes.

If you are talking about the colum mounted boost gauge, it isn't reading bars. The stock gauge reads in MPa & .1MPa is 14.5psi.
16.5psi is .113MPa. I'd say that based on how small that gauge is that the AP and the gauge are real close. I have the same set up and it's pretty much the same based on trying to look down and drive at the same time. My ap and autometer boost guages both read the same up to the limits of what the ap will read. Max boost ap reads is 18.4 were a regular boost gauge can read higher if it has the range.

I thought the stock boost gauge reads the ECU boost data, not a true vacuum line - doesn't it install with just an electrical connection?

No, the boost line is T'd off from the BPV line.
