Angry RedHat, is there any way to get their ****ing customer service to call you back?

Yeah, so I just need to know where to download RHEL4 Update 4 since their website is completely useless. 5 hours and waiting and still no return phone call. I called them an hour ago and supposedly "an engineer is working on it right now!" This was the response I got after being on hold for a half hour waiting for the first person to answer. I'm giving them 10 minutes before I call back, climb as high as I can up the ladder, and unleash hell on their ****ing asses. So much for customer service on a >$350 product.

Anyone know where you can actually download the ISOs for RHEL4 Update 4? I've been to the "Channels" section in RHN, but it isn't listed there. I'm real close to killing someone.

I guess they are more eager to work with you when you purchase the product plus pay them $50 an hour.

I've brought it up repeatedly that we need to go with something like Whitebox since it is exactly RedHat that is free with a different logo on it. Our software vendors only support RedHat though.

Unfortunately, there is no "Easy ISO" button on the left after you go into Channels. I'm back on the phone with them. I'm going to verbally make someone cry today.

I wanna hear the smackdown! aod, tell us you're going to record them crying (or at least feeling uncomfortable and getting frustrated).

Meh, I was transferred to the customer support supervisor. I explained to him that it had been almost 6 hours without a call back and the last time I called, the engineer was going to get right back to me and that was over an hour ago. I told him that if they are trying to compete with Microsoft on any level, they are doing a terrible job at it. He started blubbing about how it was a breakdown on their side and it is not normal policy to make customers wait that long. He said he'd get me in touch with an engineer right away. He did, and so that settled that. However, they probably won't like their performance review when I'm done with the little customer satisfaction survey I will receive in a few days.

heh, it's hard to argue with someone when they finally come through and get you what you want, regardless of how long you waited for it.

I know at least here, they take the surveys pretty seriously though. Just don't mark the lowest in each category otherwise they might dismiss it. You want to mark low enough to raise concern without appearing completely unreasonable.
