Congrats! Mine should be arriving within 3 weeks. I just got a TXT message this morning @ 7am saying the CA Department of revenue and IRS has accepted my tax return.

Looks like i'll be getting 5500.

1. Pay off 2900 Visa CC bill (NO MORE CREDIT CARDS!)

2. Pay full coverage insurance for a whole year.

This will give me about 300 bucks a month to SAVE on my savings.

That's gotta be a great feeling.

I had two credit cards and just paid off one. I also just paid off my scooter. I have one card and my car loan left to pay off. Both balances are quickly shrinking. I can't imagine how nice it's going to feel when I pay off my card and car.

I am still waiting for my refund. It is taking longer then it usually does. First time that it has taken over a week to get my refund after filing.

We had a lot of things that we could write off this year, so the refund is considerably larger then normal from the Fed, though we owed the state a little.

What's with you people and big refunds?

Do you like loaning the government money at 0% interest?

Just got (found) all my info, but haven't had time to do it yet... Next few weeks. I'm hoping (if I planed it right) to get back <$500. I hate a big return, but I also despise owing. So I cut it as close as I can, but still get $$$ back...

yes, but that doesn't mean you can't go and adjust what's taken out of each check and fine tune it... I'm all for not owing, but I'm also all for not giving them a crap load of $$$ every check either.

I'm right there with you.
This year was weird for us. It was our first year fileing as a married couple. It was also my first year of being able to claim more then just the standard deduction. Finally, we got a huge break with the Prius (we bought it right before the credit went down.) We went pretty cautiously on our payroll deductions.

For the state, I need to tweak it a little. We owed ~$250 to the state. I'd like to bring that up closer to $0. Next year we should be more in line with how I usually do taxes, with smaller refunds but more money every pay.
