Default 04 STI HVAC in 02/03 WRX?

I'm interested in getting the 04 HVAC from an 04 STI but not sure if

1) It'll even fit in a 02/03 WRX

2)That it'll be functional

Does anyone know if it'll work or how I might be able to get it to work if it fits.

Thanks!

Been discussed here before, but this is not a practical swap. Your existing HVAC is manual/cable operated, the STi is electrically operated. It's not just the controls that are different, it's the entire HVAC box along with associated sensors and wiring. Even if it can be made to work, the amount of labor involved would be considerable since the entire dash has to come apart to remove the housing.
