I once wandered into a dt because I had a tire losing air. 15 mins later it was patched and I was out the door for free. It was kind of weird because I just asked them to let me know why it was leaking, they didnt even tell me they were repairing it.

That remains the only completely plesant experiance I have ever had at a DT.

o i need to hear your horror stories sometime then....
mine included them wanting to replace 2 tires with different types, not all 4
and putting on my directional tires the wrong direction

a constant annoyance is when they rotate my tires they put my asx's back to 33/32 psi when i like keeping them at 39/38 much better

I dont have horror stories per say, but getting service is annoying. They wont mount tires without tread for autox when I bring them in off the car and assure them the tires will never see the surface of the street so its not really important if they are street legal or safe.

next time Im going to tell them Im making a coffee table out of old tires and wheels...well I would if I ever intended to go back to have tires mounted, which I wont.

ya i could see stuff like that, i bet its illegal for them to deal with anything below 2/32's....not dot

i guess they don't want there hands on it cause they'd get into major trouble themselves.

they take it out and find the hole so i think they do it from the inside/check for tears etc.

i use to work for discount in killeen they will patch from the inside, they'll drill a hole wherever it's leaking from and run a rubber stem through it, then put a patch and glue on top of it and they should do it for free or they'll charge you like 15 dollars in store credit or something like that

got it plugged, had it taken off the rim at tire town, there was a little scratch on the side wall, but other wise not too bad, going to save up for some falkens or something. Wish Id' have caught all of them then my insurance would have covered a set of nittos ro something...thinking about going to a zero deductible, gotta check my rates before hand though.
