Sticky way to KO thefts
Crime Prevention Officers have some novel advice for motorists who don't want their number plates stolen - use super-strong double-sided tape!

They say the heavy duty adhesive is an effective way of stopping plate theft. Best of all, it's a quarter of the cost of Government-recommended 'thief-proof plates'.

The 'No More Nails' tape claims to withstand forces of upto 50kg, which means attempting to pull it off will end up in a snapped plate. It is hoped the 4.99 product will help reduce the 33,000 car identity thefts every year. Most of these stolen numbers are sold to criminals trying to avoid speed cameras, CCTV at fuel stations, parking offences and congestion charging.

This will work great until thieves discover monofilament fishing line.

And we all know what happens next. When monofilament fishing line is outlawed, only outlaws will have monofilament fishing line.
