Default Alpina B3 Coupe (BMW 335i) @ 2007 Geneva Motor Show

Alpina B3 Coupe (BMW 335i) @ 2007 Geneva Motor Show

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/c...ng-b3-biturbo/

Quote:
These images reveal Alpina’s new twin-turbo B3 coupe, ahead of its expected unveiling at next week’s Geneva Motor Show. The car is based on the already potent twin-turbo 335i coupe from BMW and is said to develop close to 360hp and 500Nm of torque from its force-fed 3.0L straight-six engine. That’s an extra 60hp and 100Nm over the official ratings for the standard E92 335i.

With its electronic speed limiter removed, the Alpina B3 should reach up to 285km/h and complete the 0-100km/h sprint in less than 5 seconds, a significant improvement over its sedan-based D3 cousin. Another highly tuned model based on the 5-series sedan is also rumored to be making a showing in Geneva. The car will be an upgraded version of the twin-turbo B5 model, and is expected to deliver even more than the current car’s output of 500hp and 700Nm of torque.

Can't wait to see what happens when the aftermarket figures out how to reliably tune these babies. Just a turboback, bigger turbo wheel, and a reflash should put out 330 to 350 at the wheels. Let's just hope they didn't skimp on the rods, tranny, etc.

The 335 is exactly what BMW needed to spark the tuner market, and will very likely be my next car.

First of all, the 335 apparently already dynos close to 340bhp stock. Don't tell me this is some kind of bodykitted, chipped 335i sold as an original model.

Alpinas are always nice. Subtle, but nice.

they're already dyno'ing at 320-330whp with just a turboback and retune. those things are scary fast

Actually was just a catback (atleast the vishnu one that made ~330 whp on a dynojet). And on Cali 91 no less!

Me too. I can't stand the new 5-series, but the 3-series is quite nice.
