Exclamation No Prodrive STi Edition in US

The chance of getting the Prodrive STi edition to the US is small! Prodrive has too many other comittments right now, and they do not have the capacity to produce the numbers required for sale in the US.

What do you think?!

oh, and the STi will be at least $34,000... which puts the Prodrive Sti at ~$39,000

I think we'll be lucky if we get the STi... asking for the Prodrive-Style edition is just pushing our luck

The Prodrive edition is simply a different spoiler, sideskirts, and bumper. Oh, and different guages, the package is really no BFD. I think that we will get it if we get the STi.

Pshaw. It will always be something. There were complaints about not getting the WRX. When it came, "It's not the Euro/JDM spec!" Then the STi action began. Now that it is reasonably confirmed, "It's not the JDM spec! I want more!" Next, "We're not getting the Prodrive!" Soon, it will be "We're not getting the 22B!"

I think that emissions laws, and the way that Subaru is thought of in this country conspire against the arrival of the real hot rod Scoobies in the land of the double-nickel. And if the STi is in fact in the low-$30s, they're smart in bringing over less than 2,000 of them. That's not the kind of profile car that you want sitting on a dealer's lot, unsold.
